New Hosting / Transition

As of yesterday, we ran out of room on the servers ftp quota, stopping us from allowing further user registrations. For some odd reason, our host believes that allowing anything over 2000 files will bog the server to bad for usage. NEWS FLASH! The server already has issues, most of them created by the host it’s self, in order to force it’s customers into paying for accounts they cannot afford. Therefore, Pixel Five is on the move. We are once again looking for a good host. While doing some searching last night, I was able to find what seems to be a good host, and I have established Pixel Five on thier servers. At least for the time being.

The new web address is HTTP://WWW.PIXELFIVE.CO.CC OR HTTP://PIXELFIVE.CO.CC due to updat times required by dns servers, the first address can take up to 48 Hours to propigate. However the second address is up and working as we speak.

If issues arise again, from this server, I hope to be able to carry my address, now a top level domain address, with me, so that we will no longer be dealing with this kinda of move again.

BTW! All current user information is being transfered to the new site, so site registration will not be required for current Pixel Five Members.

Disappear again?

Well, the answer to this question is “NO”! Actually, I haven’t gone anywhere, I have simply been doing a lot of work on different parts of Pixel Five. For instance, I put up a new Mobster’s Blog, for the Mobster’s Application on Myspace.com. I have been working on designing my new theme for the Mobster’s Blog. I added a Friends Train, for the Mobsters Blog. I am also working on integrating the theme for it. As well as trying to make improvements to Pixel Five’s Main Blog!

Some of the improvements I have made to Pixel Five are as follows.

New Login Box for the side bar on the front page.
Related Posts at the bottom of all post pages.
Most Recent Blogs.
Last Updated Blogs.
AddThis bookmarking.
The New Look.

Reconstruction

As I am sure everyone can see, Pixel Five has been under Reconstruction. All inactive blogs have been deleted, and we have a fresh site for people to join. Sorry to inconvience anyone, however, inactive blogs take up space, and resources that someone who wants to blog could be using.

We have a new look and feel again. Change is so nice. Hopefully, everything will work correctly this time. The last look had issues in internet explorer. If there is an issue, please feel free to let me know, so I can look into it and hopefully get it fixed.

Plugins have been disabled for the time being. I am not really sure I will be adding them back in. They can be confusing, and obtrusive. Let me know your opinions on that.

Otherwise, it was a bright sunny day! Pixel Five is up and running! So, signup and lets get this community off the ground.
